7 Up Down (also called Lucky 7 or Up Down 7) is a fast dice game: two dice are rolled and you predict whether the total lands below 7, exactly on 7, or above 7. It’s one of the quickest games in the Teen Patti Pro lobby. Here are the rules, the real maths, and an honest look at “winning tricks”.

How to play 7 Up Down

  1. Place chips on one of three areas before the timer ends: 7 Down (2–6), Lucky 7 (exactly 7) or 7 Up (8–12).
  2. Two six-sided dice are rolled.
  3. The total decides the winning area. Bets on other areas lose.

Odds for every total

Two dice have 36 equally likely combinations. Seven is the most common total because six combinations make it.

9411.11%
1038.33%

So 7 Down and 7 Up each win 15 out of 36 times (41.67%), and Lucky 7 wins 6 out of 36 times (16.67%).

Typical payouts and house edge

A common payout is 2× your stake for 7 Up or 7 Down and 5× for Lucky 7 — always check the numbers shown in the game, as tables differ. With those payouts:

  • 7 Up / 7 Down: 41.67% × 2 = 0.833 returned per 1 staked → about 16.7% house edge.
  • Lucky 7: 16.67% × 5 = 0.833 returned per 1 staked → also about 16.7%.

In other words, over many rounds every bet is expected to lose money. Treat it as paid entertainment.

Do 7 Up Down winning tricks work?

No. Every roll is independent: the dice don’t remember previous results. “Patterns”, doubling systems (martingale), prediction apps and paid Telegram tips cannot change the probabilities above. Doubling after losses is especially risky — a short losing streak can wipe out a budget.

Playing sensibly

  • Decide a budget and stop when it’s gone.
  • Rounds are fast; set a timer.
  • Never chase losses or borrow to play.
